Academics at Utah Prep

Utah Preparatory Academy is a NAAS accredited school with an emphasis to help a student identify and overcome their academic setbacks. After completing the initial assessment, a student will work with the school facilitator to design their own AIM (Academic Inspiration Map). The AIM highlights the student’s historical stumbling blocks (learning styles, emotional disruptions, peer-related distractions) that the student has been encountering and helps them develop a plan of action to regain those skills that were overlooked.

Utah Prep has a traditional approach to the classroom, with teachers instructing in core subjects, supporting the students as they master both technique and information. Utah Prep’s teachers are there for them on an individual tutoring basis as the need arises. Students have supervised access to web-based research and have the flexibility to advance through a standardized curriculum at their own pace. The pinnacle of the success of an AIM is when a student can once again experience achievement through hard work.

Utah Prep will work with parents, as well as a student’s previous and future schools, to ensure that when a student is ready to transition to the next environment, their academic standing will meet or exceed the standards of the new school.
